Version 2.0.1

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to try version 2.0 of Circadian Dice! This quick update mostly fixes a few small bugs that managed to sneak through in the main update.

Bug fixes

  • Demon form now correctly costs one blue gem and one red gem after reverting back from demon to human form.
  • Blitz symbols are now correctly removed from the face copy after scoring a blitz+sun face with no attacks during the day.
  • Effects from sun monument (and various other global enemy buffs) no longer affect the previews in the future waves display.
  • A roaming Weird Apparition can no longer spawn on top of a Loot Gnome (this could previously happen under very rare circumstances).
  • Troll Queen is now included among the enemy previews for Moonwood on the scenario selection screen.
  • The unlock popup for Haggler's Pipe now refers to the correct relic.
  • The unlock popup for Bittermittens now shows the correct image.

Other changes

  • The game window can now be resized when playing in windowed mode.
  • Health rewards are no longer generated between waves while Demon Form is active.

Thank you for that amazing game and updates, i'm enjoying it a lot.

But on this new 2.01 version i notice a lot of small slowdown, something i never noticed in the various previous versions i played but now it seems half of the time there's an attack from the ennemies on screen or there are some gems/gold/whatever floating around the screen to go to my stock or to the shop, the animation noticably slow down.

It's not all the time (that what makes it odd) but it's not rare at all.

(i always play in windowed mode if it has something to do with it)

Happy to hear that you're enjoying the game! Thanks for letting me know about the slowdown. The cause is most likely that the gamemaker runner renders the game differently when window resizing is allowed (which I enabled in this build). Could you test running the game in fullscreen and see if the same slowdown occurs?

I'll take a look and see if there is anything I can do!

I just gave a try to fullscreen mode and there's absolutely no slowdown, it's always very smooth and fast even when there's a lot of floating items, .so it seems the problem is indeed the windowed rendering .

Thanks for giving a look

Thanks for taking the time to test! I'll see if I can figure something out for the next patch.

Hello, i found out that if i enable "Fast Dice" in the options i don't see the slowdown anymore in windowed mode.

That's ... not what that button is supposed to do :). I'll investigate.
